Hypocrisy
Some of the critiques of Pride Month come off pretty hypocritical.
Trump Indicted. Again.
Trump is indicted. Again. And, predictably, many prominent republicans come running to defend him from any hint of accountability. The party of law and order.
Isn’t it Ironic? Don’tcha think?
On Friday, Trump is scheduled to speak at the NRA convention in Houston, TX. In an open carry state. And no firearms will be allowed. Because that just seems sensible, right? Don’t allow a bunch of people to bring in guns to a speech from the former President. Cuz a room full of people with guns might be dangerous.
Hopefully the irony is not lost on you.
Undoubtedly the NRA will be raising tons of money from the latest shooting and calls for sane gun control. And Wayne LaPierre will keep lining his own pockets- maybe for another house or another trophy hunting safari.
Look in the Mirror
Republicans are suddenly very focused on sexual predators, promoting and passing laws all over the country focused on fears of sexual predators and using it as an (unfounded) attack during the confirmation hearings for Ketanji Brown Jackson. Of course, these fears are also cornerstone of the QAnon conspiracy theories.
Wondering when they’ll look in the mirror.
