DeSantis is Jealous
The Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, has signed into law some of the world’s most oppressive anti-LGBT policies, receiving widespread condemnation from people all over the world.
Ron DeSantis is likely jealous at the attention Museveni is getting.
Unenthusiastic Support
Biden announces he’s running for re-election. Someday I hope to have someone to vote FOR, instead of having to just vote AGAINST some other guy…
Ron’s Delusions
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis continues to press his autocratic delusions of being a culture warrior by trampling the rights of minority groups.
Retribution for Political Speech
Florida has taken control of the Reedy Creek district, a special carve out that was managed by Disney World. This was done as retribution for Disney speaking out against the Florida “Don’t Say Gay” law.
Government retribution against free speech.
So much for freedom.
Proving the Point
In his quest to disprove that systemic racism still affects people, Florida Gov. DeSantis is using his systemic powers to suppress discussion of racial issues and understanding. Kind of proving the point.
Hurricane Ian
To all in the path of Hurricane Ian: stay safe. And avoid the political stunts that don’t actually help anyone.
Shameful
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis chartered airplanes to fly immigrants from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard. People on the fights say they were told they were going to Boston, and were lured from a shelter in San Antonio with food, promises of help and expedited papers.
None of that help was waiting for them. No notice was given to Martha’s Vineyard or Massachusetts to prepare help for these people.

It’s a despicable move to use human beings as props and pawns in a political stunt. People who fled their homelands. Policy disagreements are one thing. But toying with human lives for attention is disgusting. Instead of helping people, DeSantis used them and lined up no help for them.
DeSantis should be ashamed. But I’m not sure he’s capable of that.
